About Me

My interest in photography started when I was given my first camera at age 15. Which I promptly lost. Having lived in big cities in my teens, photography wasn’t something considered seriously. After all, cities were full of people and there were BILLIONS of them! Even outdoors!

When I was 17, I moved to Western Australia, the second largest State in the world, which was thankfully, relatively devoid of people. The vastness and huge variety of environments led to me buying my first ‘real’ camera as soon as I could afford it.

In 2016, I moved to the Kimberley, the northernmost extent of the State. People often describe the Kimberley as ‘God’s Country’. I couldn’t agree more. I am incredibly fortunate to call the Kimberley home, Something I‘m reminded of every time I go outside.

My style of images changes throughout the year. In the Dry Season, cool, muted tones seek to convey the sense of wonder, awe and calm I feel when looking up at our world class skies.

This changes in the Wet Season, where colours become bold and punchy, conveying the drama and energy of the incoming monsoon. I want my images to hit you in the face (figuratively), just like that gust of wind, peal of thunder or flash of lightning.

I also maintain an interest in Botany and Zoology; many of the things that fascinate me are included as elements in my images.
